COVID-19
Processes & Procedures
Elegantini is now open to our existing and new clients, but we continue to follow the guidance from the UK government. The situation is constantly changing, so we will follow the guidance and update our working practice according to the latest government advise. For more information, please see the government website:
COVID-19 is mainly passed on by person-to-person, spread between people who are in close contact with one another and by droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

It can also spread through contact with a surfaces or an object that has the virus on it. Cleaning helps minimise the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Housekeepers help reduce the risk in your home.

Fortunately, normal cleaning methods do kill this virus. Housekeepers play an important role in keeping homes protected.
How we are working today:
-
An initial meeting to offer a quotation and a housekeeping plan, will be done following the social distancing rules and will be explained to you at the time of booking the appointment.
-
If you or anyone in your household have any symptoms, please let us know as soon as possible. Your housekeeper has been asked to do the same, if they or anyone in their household has symptoms. If you develop symptoms, however mild, you must self-isolate for 14 days.
-
Our housekeepers will wear disposable gloves and wash their hands for at least 20 seconds on arrival.
-
Housekeepers will let you know what time they are arriving to allow you to leave the home or if this is not possible to isolate into another room. The housekeeper will not clean the room you are isolating in. When meeting each other, the 2 metre social distancing rule should be applied.
-
If possible do not ask your housekeeper to use sprays as these can spread the virus. Dettol or Bleach solution is recommended to kill the virus. Special attention should be paid to "high touch" areas such as door and cupboard handles, light switches, TV remotes and worktops.
-
Open windows for maximum ventilation where possible and open internal doors where possible.
-
Cleaning cloths and mop covers should be washed as soon as possible after the clean at 60 degrees or above.
-
Avoid shaking dirty laundry and soft furnishings such as bathmats and rugs.
